Whiskey is made from grain.
There are hundreds of different grains and 1000s of varieties.
Then why is it that so much of the mass market whiskey sticks with just 4 grains and often tries to distill or age away the great flavors that the grain brings to whiskey?
At Feisty Spirits we Respect The Grain. We embrace the flavor that each different grain and variety holds within it. We want you to experience whiskey with flavors you won’t find anywhere else.
Yes, we use the basics: yellow corn, wheat, rye, and malted barley
But we also use grains many people are unfamiliar with like triticale, millet, spelt, and KAMUT. And grains you might be familiar with but have probably never tasted in whiskey, grains such as blue corn and quinoa.
If available, we buy organic grains for our products.
Occasionally there are grains or malts that we want to use that are not available with an organic certification. These tend to be for our small batch experimental whiskeys.
